Blogging makes you stupid!
I've come to this conclusion after watching 15+ years of education get thrown out the window over and over again for more than a year. Since I started blogging, my grammar and vocabulary have deteriorated substantially - my sentences too casual, words less than 3 syllables, inadequately supported thesis statements, underdeveloped paragraphs etc ... Unfortunately, it's very easy to bring this lazy, simplistic style of writing to paper. You see, content on the web is written for people in a hurry. It's easy and fluent. It's like a style where, one expresses character over professionalism. Character is good and so is professionalism and each have their own context. But which is more important? Is writing with character what one evolves to after learning almost thoroughly the English language? Is it possible to say that the fast paced web, in its entirety, breaks good grammar and vocabulary skills ? Or am I going crazy?

Very interesting...maybe we to put more time a effort into blogging then maybe we will stop exercising our laziness!

@closetgeek: For some weird reason, when people get on the web, they always seem to be in a hurry...click, click, click, from one page to another, five pages in one minute. It would be great to see some people put more time writing quality content. I'm still having a hard time doing that. Wish you the best in your blogging, and please, do invite.

I don't know what you mean about being in a hurry to click, click,click. That never happens to me ....why is this page taking so long!!!!!!!!!!!!

Leo answer this question for me.... why would someone have a closed blog? I am ingorant of this fact. Please shed some light.
@beth: Aha! I know people like that. They say they prefer their posts kept private as they may be a bit too 'personal'. They also like having it directly accessible from anywhere in the world. What do you think about that?
But why? It seems to me, a journal programme in your laptop or a regular diary would make more since....
But don't listen to me... I still don't know how to upload Twitter to my blog (also I have been accused of being a tree-hugging hippie too).
